June 2016
Congratulations to the Green School's Team, all the pupils and the entire school community for their efforts in the Green School Flag project. With thanks to all of your hard work, we have been awarded our 4th Green Flag - The Travel flag for promoting sustainable Transport modes.
On May 24th, three representatives from the Green Team (Taylor, Bianca and Praise) accompanied by Ms. Reid attended an event in the Helix in DCU to receive the prestigious award along with many other pupils from numerous schools around Dublin.
On June 2nd, we then celebrated our Green Schools' award by having a flag raising ceremony. Miss O'Connor and some of the girls on the Green Team spoke to the school about all the efforts we have made to get us this award. To celebrate the day, lots of girls wore Green Ribbons and clothes and afterwards ate Green ice-cream! It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all. Congratulations to everyone involved once again.

Poster Competition: The girls were asked to come up with a catchy slogan that would help us all remember what the Green Schools Travel programme is about. The Green Team helped to choose the best slogan from all the classes. This is the winning slogan.
Stop the pollution. Walk, scoot, or skate! That's the solution.
This code and poster was created by Katlyn Harris in room 21, Cody Lee Murphy in Room 18, and the girls in the green team helped to perfect it and agree on the best entry.
