Little Steps, Big Journey
On behalf of the school community, I would like to welcome you to the website of St. Vincent's Girls' National School.
St. Vincent's is an all girls Catholic school under the Patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, Dr. Diarmuid Martin. We pride ourselves in being an open, caring and welcoming school, where all children are cherished and encouraged at all times to reach their full potential.
We provide an exciting and varied curriculum which motivates and enthuses pupils to be active participants in their learning.
Working as a team, we embrace new methodologies and thinking and thus, have a highly motivated and skilled staff.
We strive to ensure that our girls develop a strong sense of values which are underpinned by our Catholic ethos, and to develop skills and knowledge which will enable them to make informed decisions as they mature.
We hope that our website provides you with an insight into all aspects of life in our school.

Our Trip to Central Bank by Kaylin, Ava and Salomeea Room 18 21st January 2020
Today at 10 past 10 we went to visit the Central Bank. Central Bank sponsored us for the art project we are doing. Celina and Jean, who have been working on the project with us came with us as well. There are 2 thousand people working in the bank. We got to meet 3 governors in the bank, the main governor, the deputy governor and the officer governor. We went on a tour of the bank and watched a video. We went into the board room and saw where they have their meetings. We got to hold a gold bar. Then we went into another room. Celina and Jean talked to us and then the governor gave us out our certificates. We gave Celina, Jean and the bank the cards we had made. Then we had lunch in the bank. We got pizza, sandwiches, cookies and juice and we chatted to the people in the bank while we ate it all. The bank gave us little piggy banks, notebooks, pens and shredded money! Then we went outside and took some photos with the people from the bank and with Celina and Jean. It was such a fun day and we are so glad Ms O’ Connor picked our class to do it. We are very grateful to Central Bank as well.
Well done to all the the girls who won prizes at the recent assembly. Keep up the good work everyone!

Room 18 Trip to Bull Island 6th November 2019
Recount by Niamh Bishop
On Wednesday people from Bank of Ireland came into our class and chatted to us about biodiversity. Then we got on a bus to go to Dollymount Beach, Bull Island. When we got there we were looking for plans and animals. We were picking shells and mussels. After that we took lots of pictures and ran away from the waves. We got all wet! We all got to take pictures on their cameras. Then we went on a walk in the opposite direction. We tried to hear some birds or see some birds. After that we walked back to the bus. On the bus we sang songs and talked. Soon enough we arrived back at the school. It was a great trip 😊
